CBI arrested AGM Bank of Baroda maharastra for demanding bribe of Rs 50,000.

Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested an Assistant General Manager, Asset Recovery & Management Branch, Bank of Baroda, Ballard pier, Mumbai for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 50,000/- from the complainant.

A case was registered u/s 7 of PC Act on the allegations that the AGM , Bank of Baroda demanded a bribe for passing the bills of a private company based at Thane (Maharashtra) who was appointed by Bank of Baroda  to recover bad debts. CBI laid a trap and the accused was caught red handed while accepting a bribe of Rs.50,000/- from the complainant.Searches were conducted at the office and residence of the accused which led to recovery of cash around Rs. 3 lakhs ; about 10 tolas of gold ornaments & incriminating documents .

The arrested accused is being produced today before the Special Judge, Mumbai.
