Army Wives Welfare Association PROMOTES GIRL CHILD “LADKI AAI LAXMI LAAI”

Konark AWWA(Army Wives Welfare Association) has always been at the forefront of creating awareness on social issues, having positive effect on the health and prosperity of Jawans and their families, society and nation as such.  Towards the social issue of promotion of girl child, Konark AWWA under the guidance and patronage of Mrs Kiran Rai, wife of Lt Gen M M S Rai, the newly appointed regional President of Konark AWWA launched the campaign “Ladki Aai Laxmi Laai“ at Military Hospital Jodhpur, in collaboration with Rotary Club Jodhpur.

The function was inaugurated by Mrs Kiran Rai and as part of the campaign various activities like presenting a silver coin to the mother of girl child, poster exhibition on importance of girl child and interactive discussion with experts on changing the mind set were organized

During her interaction she stressed upon the importance of organizing such campaigns for creating awareness among families of troops and making society healthier.  She complimented Military Hospital Jodhpur for the excellent arrangements and praised the efforts of paramedics, doctors and nurses for their efforts in this campaign.  She also thanked the Rotary Club Jodhpur for their staunch support to this noble cause and making the function a grand success.

Commandant of the Hospital while addressing the gathering,emphasized the importance of girl child for the well being of a society and exhorted everyone to put in efforts to promote the well being of girl child.
