Every School should make ‘Child Rights Club’ Manan Chaturvedi

Jaipur .Rajasthan State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (RSCPCR) will be celebrating Child Rights Day from 14h to 20th November. Ms. Manan Chaturvedi, Chairperson of RSCPCR and Dr. Sanjeev Bhanawat, Head – Masscom Dept of University of Rajasthan addressed a media conference and said, the child rights celebration is filled of rainbow colors and every day will be celebrated with different themes with children and people at large. Our effort will be to maximize the awareness on Child Rights to create a safe society for children.

She further added, this campaign cannot be driven by a single organisation or machinery as it requires a lot of emotions and love to care children. For this cause, all concerned organisation should come together and work significantly on creating a safe society to empower our young generation. Where children have directly connected, it becomes more vital to bring awareness for safe environment, whether it is a school in the city or at a gram Panchayat level.

Every states’ children should know about their rights from certain age. It is our duty to understand challenges for the child in this society, whether they see the world as beautiful or as devil, we must understand their point of view for counseling them. She added, each School should make ‘Child Rights Club’ for children under the child rights awareness programme on regular basis. We will put our best efforts during these seven days for bringing together to all the NGOs working for Child Rights in Rajasthan state. And this will not be just for these seven days, but we will try to continue our efforts on regular basis.

Programmes to be organised under this campaign –

14th November – Flag off of Walkathon by Smt. Vasundhara Raje, CM (Route CM house to Amar Jyoti Jawan, Jaipur)
15th November – Drama play by children of Kachhi Basti at Ravindra Manch
16th November – Hearing related to Child Issues at Scout and Guide office
17th November – Gender Sensitization Workshop for Boys and Drawing and Painting Competition at Ravindra Manch
18th November – Workshop on Poxo Act
19th November – Parliament of Children at OTS hall
20th November – Campaign conclusion with a special Programme on Child Rights
